Welcome to the official site of the Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon. This will be the 8th year for the Portsmouth Coastal Waterside Marathon. If you like to run something slightly different just before Christmas then this is for you. Full Marathon running from South Parade Pier to the end of the Hayling Billy Line and return. A unique multi terrain marathon with some fantastic views across Langstone Harbour.
Don’t fancy a marathon? Then share it with a running buddy and do the relay marathon, with each runner completing a 13.1 mile section.
All in aid of the RNLI. Believe and Achieve Events Ltd are proud to organise and run these events to raise money for the Portsmouth RNLI.

Venue: The Pyramid Centre, Southsea. Plaza Suite.
Entry Prices; from £30
Facilities: Changing, toilets, onsite parking, refreshments, bag storage (runner must label their own bags), onsite retailer, pay and display parking £10.00 for day, massage, swimming pool discount. Please note no change will be available on the day. Please bring change if required for parking.

Event extras: Chip Timing, Christmas Cheer, Santa. Mulled Wine, Brandy, Rum, Jelly Beans, Jaffa Cakes, Chocolate, Salted Crisps, Bannanas, Water in Cups, we have a wonderful selection at the water stations.
Strict 6 hour time limit for marathon 7hrs for 50k. You could get your feet wet if you take that little bit too long. If you have not reached half way by the 3 hour mark then we will have to pull you out of the race. The sweeper will also inform you if you are having trouble on the return leg. (the toughest bit)

Top Ten UK Marathons to do in 2011 as voted by Running Fitness readers We staged the First ever Porsmouth Coastal Maraton in 2010, and imagine our suprise when in the March 2011 edition of Running Fitness Magazine, they list us in the top ten marathons to do in the UK in 2011. We came in 6th place, this really was a suprise as the magazine didn’t even tell us it was to be featured. We only found out by chance after reading the magazine in between personal training session.
For those interested..Running Fitness said the top ten must do marathons in 2011 are (in order) 1) London 2) Edinburgh 3) Snowdonia 4) Brighton 5) Isle of Wight 6) Portsmouth Coastal Marathon 7) Abingdon 8) LOCH NESS 9) BEACHY HEAD (SEVEN SISTERS) 10) ISLE OF MAN.
