21st Feb 2010 .. 10.30am START

Believe & Achieve and Alexandra sports are proud to present the coastal half marathon in portsmouth all in aid of the RNLI, but you are more than welcome to raise money for your own chosen charity if you wish.
The start and finish is from the portsmouth lifeboat station down by the hayling island ferry on ferry road, eastney.
Start time is 10.30am sharp. No Entries on the day.
The course will run from the lifeboat station and head off towards old portsmouth taking in the wonderfull views across the solent, then heading back to eastney. Around bransbury park and then down on to the foreshore past the thatched house, up and around milton common and then returning via the foreshore again and into the last mile back to the portsmouth lifeboat station.
This will be multi terrain so expect to get a little bit muddy and wet. ( Feb can be a bit wet and windy )
The course will be fully marshalled and mile markers in place, + lead runner and last runner cyclists.
Drinks will be available around the route.
Carparks are available near to the start and finish, please do not drive down to the start as there will be no room. The furthest car park is only 1k away so a good warm up to get you down to the start line.
Each runner will receive a goody bag from alexandra sports and a finishers medal,space blanket.
Prizes for 1st,2nd,3rd Men and women
And spot prizes as well.
The coastal half marathon is a charity event supporting the RNLI. All profits from the run will go to the RNLI. Further sponsorship can be made at www.justgiving.com/funrunsrnli
Entry can be done by post with the entry form available on this website.
We would be very interested to hear from anybody who could help us on the day with marshalling and general race day activities. please call if you could help.
Also looking for local businesses that could sponsor us with goodies for the goodie bags, your help would be fantastic.
Photos will be taken on the day by photographers from www.ianburnettphotography.co.uk and will be available to view online a few days later. Don't forget - 15% of proceeds from sales will be donated to the RNLI.
On the day of the race please come ready to run and fully fueled up.
